Titan Comics Teams with Games Workshop for New Warhammer 40,000 Comics

Warhammer 40k

Titan Comics and Games Workshop® are teaming up to publish brand-new comics based on the world of Warhammer 40,000™.

Warhammer 40,000 was first brought to life as a popular tabletop miniature wargame 1987. It pits the outnumbered human Imperium and it sometimes-allies against the eternal forces of Chaos in a battle for control of the forty-first millennium.

Warhammer 40,000 is now in its 7th edition of the tabletop game and continues to grow gathering fans across the world to its banner. It has also spread to other mediums including novels, board games, RPGs from Fantasy Flight, and video games such as the Dawn of War series. There are also a number of popular Warhammer 40,000 games available on iOS and Android. The Games Workshop brand boasts an annual revenue of over $170 million with 3,700 independent retailers carrying Games Workshop products in 52 countries.

This new comics line will be aimed at fans and newcomers alike. It will tap into a wealth of compelling characters, species, and memorable imagery. There will be Space Marines holding the line against the unspeakable forces of xenos; the frothing, Daemonic intensity of Chaos, corrupting all they touch; the squabbling, bodged-together Orks, riding roughshod over far-flung colonies; the exotic, long-lived Eldar wielding rare weaponry and rarer insight; the idealistic, mech-piloting forces of the Tau; the undying, endoskeletal hordes of the Necrons, or the starving forces of unnature, like the Tyranids, spitting death and destruction with every spurt of their chitinous cannons.

The addition of Warhammer 40,000 joins Titan Comics catalog of other successfully licensed comics including Assassin’s Creed, Deus Ex, and Dark Souls.

The first original ongoing Warhammer 40,000 series will debut in September of 2016!
