1930s Kansas.
Dorothy Gale and her faithful companion, Toto, have returned home after their first adventure in the magical Land of Oz. Although Dorothy does not yet fully realize her power or Highborn heritage, her encounters with evil witches, munchkins, lion-men, and scarecrows has broadened her world, and left Kansas feeling small, somehow. Yet while Dorothy secretly yearns for the danger of Oz, old foes plot to bring the perils of Oz to Kansas…and unless a local blacksmith can stop them, Dorothy may never get the chance to enjoy the mundane pleasures of Kansas again.
