‘SMITE’ Jumps from the PC Straight into a Graphic Novel

SMITE is one of the newer MOBAs or multiplayer online battle arenas to quickly catch fire. The game was originally developed and produced by Hi-Rez Studios for Microsoft Windows back in 2014, but has subsequently been made available on X-Box One and PlayStation 4. It’s a free-to-play, team-based action game that allows you to play more than 70 mythological gods as you battle for domination across six different game modes.

Now SMITE is jumping out of the video game and into a comic book. Dark Horse Comics has tapped veteran games writer John Jackson Miller (Star Wars, Mass Effect) and cowriter Jack Banish along with artist Eduardo Francisco (Eve: Valkyre, Captain Midnight) to produce [easyazon_link identifier=”1506702333″ locale=”US” tag=”bounintocomi-20″]SMITE: The Pantheon War[/easyazon_link] which collects the three part digital comic series telling the tale of the looming war between the pantheons.

The story is set in an age where gods live among the mortals they rule. The gods require the worship of the mortals to maintain their divinity, but the number of gods has swelled and there are fewer mortal faithful for the individual gods in each pantheon. With worshipers becoming a scarce and only the gods who maintain worshipers having a chance at surviving tensions are bound to rise. There might be an uneasy peace now…but peace is not desired by all.

SMITE: The Pantheon War hits stores on December 28th. [easyazon_link identifier=”1506702333″ locale=”US” tag=”bounintocomi-20″]Add it to your collection[/easyazon_link].
