Paul Dini Hits Los Angeles for ‘Dark Knight: A True Batman Story’ Signing

Legendary writer Paul Dini will be heading to Vroman’s in Pasadena on June 24th for the release of [easyazon_link identifier=”1401241433″ locale=”US” tag=”bounintocomi-20″]Dark Knight: A True Batman Story[/easyazon_link]. Dini will not only be signing copies of his new books but he will also participate in a discussion moderated by comic and animation writer Mark Evanier.

The event kicks off Dini’s harrowing and eloquent autobiographical tale detailing his courageous struggle to overcome a truly desperate situation.

Dini shows Batman in a new light – as the savior who helps a discourage man recover from a brutal attack that left him unable to face the world.

In the 1990s Paul Dini was the hugely popular writer behind [easyazon_link identifier=”B00023E894″ locale=”US” tag=”bounintocomi-20″]Batman: The Animated Series[/easyazon_link] and Tiny Toon Adventures. However, walking home one night he was attacked and viciously beaten within an inch of his life. During his recovery he was hampered by the imagined antics of the villains he was writing for television including the Joker, Harley Quinn, and the Penguin. But while the villains tormented him, Batman was there at his side bringing him out of the darkness even when he had engulfed him.
