“The Path to Paradise Begins in Hell!”

That’s the tag line Alien: Covenant runs in their newest trailer. And it sure is accurate.

The trailer begins introducing us to the basic premise of why all of these humans are on a remote planet and it also gives us a little bit of backstory into the crew. They are all couples part of the first large scale colonization mission.

It’s an almost idyllic trailer until about a third of the way through when it takes a dark turn.

“Do you hear that? What? Nothing. No birds. No animals. Nothing.”

And that’s when we see our first tie-in to Prometheus as an Alien ship is crash landed on this planet.

And all hell breaks loose.
