Harley Quinn Takes Over Batman Day For Her 25th Anniversary Celebration!

Harley Quinn will steal the Caped Crusader’s spotlight for this year’s Batman Day on September 23, 2017. The tricky clown even renamed the day, “Harley Quinn Batman Day Takeover.”

The Harley Quinn Batman Day festivities will range from cosplay contests to kids activities as well as giving away three different special edition issues.

The three special editions will be Batman Day 2017 Special Edition #1, Harley Quinn Batman Day 2017 Special Edition #1, and DC Super Hero Girls Batman Day 2017 Special Edition #1.

In the Batman Day 2017 Special Edition #1, you can get your hands on the first chapter of Batman Vol. 3: I Am Bane written by Tom King with art by David Finch. It will also include an original 3-page Harley Quinn story by Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti, and Bret Blevins.

Then in Harley Quinn Batman Day 2017 Special Edition #1 you will get the first chapter of Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti, and John Timms’ Joker Loves Harley graphic novel.

Finally in DC Super Hero Girls Batman Day 2017 Special Edition #1, you will get a sneak peek at She Fontana, Marcelo DiChiara, and Agnes Garbowska’s upcoming all-ages graphic novel, DC Super Hero Girls: Out of the Bottle!

Along with these three special editions DC has teamed up with a number of retail partners including Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Amazon and Build-A-Bear for an array of in-store promotions and product displays. Hot Topic will also feature seasonal merchandise and Journeys will roll out their DC-inspired Converse collection.

There will also be exclusive Harley Quinn Batman Day Takeover posters, Batman and Harley Quinn masks, and postcards at select retailers. You can also download a Harley Quinn Batman Day Takeover activity kit which includes cut out paper masks, comic book activity sheets, coloring pages, trivia, and games.

To sweeten the day even more, DC is launching a Harley Quinn 25th Anniversary digital sale beginning on September 12. The sale will feature a number of Harley Quinn’s  most insane and crazy adventures. Then on September 19 a Batman Day digital sale begins featuring a number of Batman titles such as Batman, All-Star Batman, Batgirl, and more. With each sale you will also get a Batman Adventures #12, Harley Quinn’s first comic book appearance. You will also get the first issue in the new Harley Quinn and Batman digital-first series. And if that wasn’t enough there will be a special one-day-only sale on Batman Day where you can get over 100+ discounted “Easter Egg” issues that helped inspire the ongoing Dark Nights: Metal event. You can find these sales at readdcentertainment.com, comiXology, Google Play, iBooks, Nook, and Madefire.
