A new report indicates Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot made a bold move when she demanded she will only return to Wonder Woman if producer Brett Ratner is removed from the project.

With the sexual assault and harassment storm continuing to turn Hollywood upside down, producer Brett Ratner has been fingered as a sexual deviant and predator by six actresses including X-Men: Apocalypse’s Olivia Munn.

In a report from Page Six, Gadot took the high ground demanding Ratner’s RatPac-Dune Entertainment production company no longer be involved in any Wonder Woman movie sequels starring Gadot.

This potentially deal-killing move is just one example of actresses and actors taking a stand against the Hollywood power structure.

This isn’t her first strike against the producer either. Last month, Gal Gadot removed herself from from a dinner honoring Ratner where she was to present him with an award. Gadot also took to Instagram where she stated, “Bullying and Sexual Harassment is unacceptable! I stand by all the courageous women confronting their fears and speaking out. Together we stand. We are all united in this time of change.”

Ratner’s production company RatPac-Dune Entertainment helped produce Wonder Woman in a co-financing deal with Warner Bros. A Warner Bros. insider told Page Six, “Brett made a lot of money from the success of Wonder Woman, thanks to his company having helped finance the first movie. Now Gadot is saying she won’t sign for the sequel unless Warner Bros. buys Brett out [of his financing deal] and gets rid of him.”

The source praised Gadot, “She’s tough and stands by her principles. She also knows the best way to hit people like Brett Ratner is in the wallet. She also knows that Warner Bros. has to side with her on this issue as it develops. They can’t have a movie rooted in women’s empowerment being part-financed by a man accused of sexual misconduct against women.”

Warner Bros. already seems to be taking Gadot’s side against the accused producer. Last week they served all ties over allegations by multiple actresses including Oliva Munn and Natasha Henstridge. They claimed the producer acted inappropriately towards them on multiple film sets over the years. Ratner denied the allegations through his attorney, Marty Singer.

With all of this out in the air, the Wonder Woman sequel at least for now is currently in doubt. I don’t believe Warner Bros. will risk their most successful film franchise over a producer.

What do you think about Gal Gadot’s stance? Is she taking an issue that has long plagued Hollywood to task? Or, is she risking a film over someone who is already being pushed out of many production circles? Give us your thoughts below about this and the storm that has taken Hollywood.
