Warner Bros. suspended Supergirl producer Andrew Kreisberg due to an internal investigation surrounding claims of sexual misconduct.

In a statement Warner Bros. spokesperson, Tammy Golihew shed some light on the situation:

We have recently been made aware of allegations of misconduct against Andrew Kreisberg. We take all allegations of misconduct extremely seriously, and are committed to creating a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions.

Not only is Kreisberg a producer on Supergirl, but he also works on other The CW DC Comics shows including The Flash and Arrow where he is a writer and producer.

Reports of Kreisberg’s sexual misconducter were first reported by Variety. 15 women and four men came forward to accuse the producer of everything from sexual harassment to inappropriate physical contact. This included touching and kissing people without consent as well as requesting massages and making sexual comments.

Berlanti Productions’s Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter confirmed Warner Bros. investigation to USA Today.

We were recently made aware of some deeply troubling allegations regarding one of our showrunners. We have been encouraging and fully cooperating with the investigation into this by Warner Bros. We do not tolerate harassment and are committed to doing everything we can to make an environment that’s safe.

Andrew Kreisberg adamantly denied the allegations about inappropriate touching or requests for massages. He released a statement to Variety:

I have made comments on women’s appearances and clothes in my capacity as an executive producer, but they were not sexualized. Like many people, I have given someone a non-sexual hug or kiss on the cheek.

As it stands Andrew Kreisberg will continue to be suspended by Warner Bros. as these accusations are investigated. Kresiberg joins other accused Hollywood producers and actors Harvey Weinstein, Brett Ratner, Kevin Spacey, Louis C.K., and more.

How will this affect the show’s production? How deep does this sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, and in some cases sexual assault scandal in Hollywood go?  These two questions I believe will be answered in the near future.
