X-Men director Bryan Singer faces a new lawsuit for allegedly raping a 17-year old boy in 2003. Singer joins a growing list of Hollywood executives and stars who have been accused of sexual misconduct this year.

A representative for the director issued a statement to People denying the allegation:

Bryan categorically denies these allegations and will vehemently defend this lawsuit to the very end. Cesar Sanchez-Guzman apparently claims that he did not remember this alleged incident from 2003 until now. Significantly, when Sanchez-Guzman filed for bankruptcy only a few years ago, he failed to disclose this alleged claim when he was supposed to identify all of his assets, but conveniently, now that the bankruptcy court discharged all of his debts, he is able to recall the alleged events.

The accuser, Cesar Sanchez-Guzman, provided a graphic description of the encounter (see below). The legal documents also allege Singer offered him favors and told him he was a “producer in Hollywood that he could help Cesar get into acting as long as Cesar never said anything about the incident.” The documents also claim, “He then told Cesar that no one would believe him if he ever reported the incident, and that he could hire people who are capable of ruining someone’s reputation.”

Guzman claims the alleged sexual assault caused him “to experience severe psychological, mental and emotional injuries, shame, humiliation and loss of enjoyment of life.”

Guzman describes the alleged assault in detail. It’s too graphic to publish, but you can see it here.

Bryan Singer is no stranger to lawsuits involving sexual misconduct and assault. In 2014, Michael Egan claimed Singer forced him to have sex during parties in California and Hawaii in the 1990s. However, Singer submitted evidence showing he was not in Hawaii at the time of the alleged assault. After his original lawyer left him, Egan failed to obtain another and the lawsuit was ultimately dropped. Egan would then plead guilty to committing securities and wire fraud in 2015. He was sentenced two years in prison.

Later in 2014, Singer would once again be accused of sexual abuse. The anonymous accuser claimed Singer fondled him and attempted to force him to have sex when he was 17. The anonymous accuser was represented by the same lawyer who represented Michael Egan, Jeff Herman. Singer’s attorney denied the allegations, “After the substance of Mr. Herman’s previous defamatory and fabricated filing in Hawaii was disproved based on unassailable evidence, Mr. Herman’s desperation has led him to fabricate these new anonymous accusations against Mr. Singer, which we will also prove to be completely false.”

The law suit was dismissed in a Los Angeles court on the grounds that it was improperly and there was no legal basis for the suit.

More recently Singer was fired from directing Bohemian Rhapsody, a biopic based on the rock band Queen.

The Hollywood Reporter noted Singer had been missing from the set and there was “an escalating clash between Singer and actor Rami Malek.”

Bryan Singer claimed, “I wanted nothing more than to be able to finish this project and help honor the legacy of Freddie Mercury and Queen, but Fox would not permit me to do so because I needed to temporarily put my health, and the health of my loved ones first.”

Singer would go on to deny the allegations about a dispute with Malek, “Rumors that my unexpected departure from the film was sparked by a dispute I had with Rami Malek are not true. While, at times, we did have creative differences on set, Rami and I successfully put those differences behind us and continued to work on the film together until just prior to Thanksgiving.
