Pro-Trump Children’s Book Attacked for Being Racist

A pro-Trump children’s book titled, Thump: The First Bundred Days, which details the historic 2016 election campaign of now President Donald J. Trump, has come under attack by the radical left wing Media Matters website.

Thump: The First Bundred Days is written by Mark Pellegrini and Brett R. Smith with artwork by Timothy Lim. Smith is known for his work on Clinton Cash: A Graphic Novel. Lim is a well-known artist who has worked for Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Hasbro.

The book features Donald Trump as a loveable bunny named Thump.

Timothy Johnson at Media Matters claims the book “indoctrinates [children] to white nationalism.” He also belives the book “teaches kids that sexually assaulting women isn’t a big deal.”

He took issue with the book after InfoWars’ Alex Jones brought writer Brett R. Smith on to his show to talk about the book as well as promote a limited edition of the book on Jones’ InfoWars store.

Johnson claims a reference to Pepe the Frog, a popular internet meme, is how the book is indoctrinating children.

He claims Pepe “was transformed into a talisman for white nationalism during the 2016 presidential campaign.”

Hillary Clinton famously described the green frog, “That’s Pepe. He’s a symbol associated with white supremacy,” on her campaign website. This came around the same time Hillary said, “you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables.” She went on to label them, “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it.”

In response, Pepe was used to mock Hillary and her absolute lunatic comments. Donald Trump Jr. added Pepe to a hilarious Expendables meme that was transformed into The Deplorables.

Needless to say Pepe the Frog is anything but a “white nationalist” symbol.

But Pepe the Frog wasn’t the only thing Johnson took offense to. He also whined about Trump’s hot mic moment with Billy Bush. He claims it promotes sexual assault when it reads, “Thump was caught talking of grabbing all things pusillanimous. Protesters even made pink hats: their ire was unanimous.”

Claiming this hot mic moment is promoting sexual assault might have been the biggest lie of the 2016 campaign.

After Johnson’s scathing attack of the book, the creators of Thump issued a hilarious response:

Team Thump

They refute the “white nationalist” accusation saying, “Don’t you have interns at Media Matters to fact check articles? They’d have found out our brilliant artist Timothy Lim is an American of Chinese and Filipino descent.”

Timothy Lim even mocked Media Matters:

They then fire shots at Media Matters over the sexual assault accusation.

You also claim that we ‘teach kids that sexually assaulting women isn’t a big deal.’ That’s a bitch rich coming from an organization that has aligned itself for years with Harvey Weinstein. I guess we can all be thankful you only had to rub elbows with Harvey, unlike his many victims.”

While Johnson might find the hilarious children’s book reprehensible, many disagree with him. The creator of Batman villain Bane, Chuck Dixon, praise the book, “Deplorable, but adorable. I love these drawings and believe that every true Trumper should have one on their coffee table to confound whatever liberal friends they have left.”

He wasn’t the only one. Dilbert creator Scott Adams also lavished it with praise, “Everything about this makes me laugh.”

Thump: The First Bundred Days currently has a 4.6 rating on Amazon from over 87 reviews.
