How important is researching a character for a movie star? Captain Marvel star Brie Larson believes it is critical. She paid a visit to Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada to really dive in and see what life is like in the Air Force. Her visit gave her an opportunity to better become acquainted with the military aspect of her character, United States Air Force Major and Special Operations Intelligence Agent Carol Danvers.

But she might have been doing more than just research. One of the airmen, Eric Zupanc, described her visit as “doing some work for her movie Captain Marvel.” It’s possible they might have actually been filming some scenes there.

Thanks to the Airmen at the base, we got some awesome shots of Brie Larson. Take a look below!

Both Don Wallace and Eric Zupanc shared some photos on Instagram with the star. Her visit included a tour of a live F15 fighter.

Though the process to get the ball rolling on the move project has been long, it seems that Brie Larson is going all out to learn every aspect of a professional member of the armed services for this role.

Take a look at a set of photos by Eric Zupanc with the star:

The cast and crew behind the film are impressive. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are expected to direct the film. They’ve brought in some top notch writers in Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman, and Geneva Robertson-Dworet to pen the script. The film stars, of course, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, and of course Samuel L. Jackson as the one and only Nick Fury.

Captain Marvel is expected to come out on March 8th, 2019 and is going to usher in the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is expected to take place in the ’90s with the Skrulls being the main antagonists.
