Mark Ruffalo Reveals Key Details About The Hulk for Avengers: Infinity War!

Mark Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently revealed key details about the Hulk and his journey in Avengers: Infinity War.

Speaking with ComingSoon.net Ruffalo revealed the Hulk will once again be “trying to find his place in the line-up.” He adds, “He’s having some difficulties integrating with the rest of the group, but he’s also privy to some information that is essential for their survival…Banner knows probably more about Thanos than probably anybody and he’s really trying to impress on everybody how dangerous he is.”

This makes sense given the post-credit scene from Thor: Ragnarok. As you might remember, Thor, Loki, Hulk, Heimdall, Valkyrie, and the rest of the Asgardians have fled their home planet of Asgard and boarded a ship to avoid the destruction. However, just as they have finished celebrating their victory an ominous ship arrives that looks to spell doom for the Asgardians. We would learn the ship belonged to Thanos and is called the Sanctuary II. Given Ruffalo’s revelation here, it would appear Hulk has confronted Thanos and his minions and quite possibly been defeated or he might have fled in order to give warning to the Avengers on Earth.

As for him trying to fit in, well he obviously missed everything with Captain America: Civil War so he really doesn’t have a clue what the political landscape looks like on Earth. In fact, Ruffalo confirms he doesn’t get Civil War.

“Banner’s had a life changing experience in Thor: Ragnarok that makes him much more expressive and not so internalized. So it’s not combative but (The Avengers) are not so in-sync as they were… Plus, Banner doesn’t understand Civil War. He just doesn’t get it.”

As for what the Hulk thinks about Thanos well Ruffalo simply says, “The Hulk is also mightily impressed by Thanos.”

And while the Hulk might be impressed by Thanos, he’s still going to need to find a way to defeat him. Ruffalo elaborates, “There’s no way to overcome what they’re facing without in some way coming to terms with their differences and embracing their diversity. He continues, “That’s essentially a core value of the film and that together, only together, can they triumph.”

It’s quite possible Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk might be the key component to heal the wounds caused by Captain America: Civil War and unite the Avengers in their fight against Thanos. We have seen him charging into battle with Captain America, War Machine, Bucky Barnes, Scarlett Johansson, Black Panther, and Okoye. They obviously came to a realization or an agreement to set their differences aside and fight back against Thanos and his forces.

Avengers: Infinity War comes to theaters on April 27, 2018.
