Shazam! Movie Logo Officially Revealed

The official Shazam! movie logo has arrived.

Along with the official logo reveal, Entertainment Weekly revealed they will be going live on Facebook with the Shazam! movie cast. Along with going live they also revealed fan questions may be asked on air.

Shazam! is directed by David F. Sandberg and stars Zachary Levi as Shazam or DC Comics’ Captain Marvel. Opposing Levi’s Captain Marvel is Mark Strong’s Doctor Sivana. The film will also star Asher Angel as Billy Batson, who is Captain Marvel’s alter ego.

If you are unfamiliar with Shazam or Captain Marvel it features Billy Batson, a young boy who is bestowed special powers when he shouts the word “Shazam.” When he shouts, “Shazam” lightning strikes him from the sky and he is imbued with magical powers. He obtains the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury.

We’ve already seen a bunch of leaks from the set. The film appears to be taking place during the winter around Christmas time.

It also appears that Mark Strong’s Doctor Sivana has acquired his own powers as set videos have shown him knocking police officers to the ground with just the wave of his wand. It appears Zachary Levi’s Captain Marvel might be in for more than he bargained for when he comes face to face with Mark Strong’s Doctor Sivana.

Shazam! is expected to hit theaters on April 5, 2019.
