Deadpool 2’s T.J. Miller Arrested!

Deadpool 2 and Ready Player One’s T.J. Miller was arrested Monday night at LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York. He was arrested for allegedly calling in a fake bomb threat. This is just the latest in a string of controversies surrounding the Deadpool actor which include sexual assault allegations.
CNN reports the 36-year-old is being accused of “intentionally conveying to law enforcement false information about an explosive device.”
A Department of Justice press release indicates T.J. Miller called a 911 dispatcher in New Jersey on March 18th while traveling on Amtrack train 2256 from Washington, D.C. toward Penn Station in New York City. Miller told the 911 dispatcher “that a female passenger ‘has a bomb her in bag.'” Miller would go on to describe the woman as wearing a scarf and having brown hair.
Amtrak stopped the train at Green’s Farms Station in Westport, Connecticut before it reached Penn Station. Passengers were told to detrain and a bomb squad boarded and searched the train for the explosive device. During their search, no bomb was found, or materials related to a device.
An investigator followed up with Miller regarding the tip. Miller would change his story and describe the woman as having red hair and a red scarf. He would go on to describe her behavior. He said she was carrying “a black bag carry on suitcase with a handle.” The press release relays that Miller informed the investigator that the woman kept checking her bag without taking anything out. He also said the woman kept asking the First Class attendant what the next stop was. He intimated that she wanted to get off the train and leave the bag.
The investigator then detected a slur in Miller’s voice and asked if he had been drinking. Miller relayed, he only had “one glass of red wine.” They then asked if he suffered from a mental illness. Miller replied, “No, absolutely not. This is the first time I’ve ever made a call like this before. I am worried for everyone on that train. Someone has to check that lady out.”
As it happens, Miller was not even on the train he reported the bomb to have been on. Miller was actually on train 2258 not 2256. Train 2258 was then stopped and inspected. No bombs or bomb materials were found.
The First Class attendant was then interviewed who reported that Miller had appeared intoxicated upon boarding. The attendant also reported he had multiple drinks while on board. In fact, Miller had actually been removed because of intoxication. Miller also reportedly had hostile exchanges with a woman sitting in a different row from him.
On Tuesday, Miller appeared before U.S. District Judge Jeffery A. Meyer in New Haven, Connecticut where he was released on $100,000 bond. If convicted the charges could land the actor in prison for up to five years.

Miller’s case is being investigated by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, Connecticut State Police, Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department, Amtrak Police Department, and Westport Police Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Henry K. Kopel is prosecuting the case.
With Deadpool 2 coming out in about a month. T.J. Miller is quickly becoming the next Andy Dick.
