James Gunn FIRED from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

James Gunn
attends the premiere of Disney And Marvel's "Ant-Man And The Wasp" at the El Capitan Theater on June 25, 2018 in Hollywood, California.

After facing serious allegations of pedophilia, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has been removed from the franchise and has been fired from Disney and Marvel Studios.

Disney studio chairman Alan Horn told Variety, “the offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him.”

Gunn is expected to appear at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H at 6:15 PM PT.

It’s unclear what the presentation will be, but he posted on Instagram, “I will see many of you at #sandiegocomicon one week from today (Friday, 7/20) with something dark, sweet, and special.”

Gunn had been teasing the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 script on his social media for months.

It even appeared that he had finished the script when he posted the cover page back in June.

Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy made over $773 million at the worldwide box office. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 made over $863 million at the worldwide box office.

Did Disney make the right decision in firing James Gunn? Are you glad he is no longer associated with the media company?
