Marvel’s Spider-Man PlayStation 4 Trailer Reveals New Villain!

Spider-Man

Sony released the latest trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man at San Diego Comic-Con and reveals a brand new villain in Silver Sable. Not only do we get a first look at Silver Sable, but we get a really good idea as to what we can expect from the story. And Silver Sable won’t be the only villain, there’s a who’s who of Spider-Man villains showing up in this game.

Take a look:

Marvel’s Spider-Man is being created by Insomniac Games. During their panel at San Diego Comic-Con they featured and revealed new footage of Norman Osborn, Miles Morales, Mary Jane Watson, the Sinister Six, and Silver Sable. The game will also feature Wilson Fisk, Mister Negative, Aunt May, and Ganke Lee. As far as members of the Sinister Six, it looks like the team will be made up of at least Electro, Rhino, Scorpion, and Vulture. I wouldn’t be surprised

Peter Parker will be voiced by Yuri Lowenthal.

Here’s the official synopsis for the game:

Starring the world’s most iconic Super Hero, Marvel’s Spider-Man features the acrobatic abilities, improvisation and web-slinging that the wall-crawler is famous for, while also introducing elements never-before-seen in a Spider-Man game. From traversing with parkour and utilizing the environment, to new combat and blockbuster set pieces, it’s Spider-Man unlike any you’ve played before.

As you can tell from the trailer, this isn’t a rookie Spider-Man. He will be a veteran of crime-fighting. Insomniac Games elaborates:

“This isn’t the Spider-Man you’ve met or ever seen before. This is an experienced Peter Parker who’s more masterful at fighting big crime in New York City. At the same time, he’s struggling to balance his chaotic personal life and career while the fate of millions of New Yorkers rest upon his shoulders.”

I’ll be honest, I’m not the biggest Spider-Man fan. I enjoyed the original Spider-Man film with Tobey Maguire, but I’ve just never been able to get into the comics. Albeit I’m absolutely loving Venom right now. However, everything I’ve seen about this video game looks exceptional and the story looks extremely compelling. I know I’ll definitely be checking it out and can’t wait get immersed in the world of Marvel’s Spider-Man.

The game will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive and is expected to hit shelves on September 7, 2018. Will you be picking this one up?
