U.S. Senator Ted Cruz and former presidential candidate called for Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn to be prosecuted in a Tweet on Saturday.

Cruz would call for Gunn’s prosecution while also adding in a number of sickening Tweets from Gunn that involve pedophilia, child rape, and molestation.

While Cruz would call for a prosecution, Mike Cernovich, who was instrumental in uncovering and bringing attention to the Tweets would indicate he would lobby for a Congressional investigation into “Hollywood casting couch and child grooming practices.”

James Gunn was fired by Disney after dozens if not hundreds of Tweets were uncovered referencing pedophilia, child rape, and molestation.

Gunn would not apologize for the tweets, but would express regret for the Tweets. However, he did apologize for the situation it created.

A number of cast members from Guardians of the Galaxy have spoken out in defense of James Gunn including Dave Bautista and his brother Sean Gunn. However, Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana took a different approach. Both offering a wait and see tactic in their own unique ways.

Since Gunn’s firing a number of other celebrities’ tweets about child rape, pedophilia, and molestation have surfaced from Disney voice-actress Sarah Silverman, comedian Ian Michael Black, animated voice actor and comedian Patton Oswalt, as well as Anthony Jeselnik, and Gunn’s brother Sean Gunn.

Do you think there is an epidemic in Hollywood surrounding pedophilia? Should a Congressional investigation be conducted? Do you think James Gunn should be prosecuted?
