Warner Bros. and DC Films have released a new TV spot for their upcoming Aquaman film. This new TV spot features a massive tidal wave as well as a very good look at Mera’s suit.

Take a look:

The TV spot has a ton of stuff happening. We get introduced to Aquaman’s parents, his father is a lighthouse keeper and his mother is a queen. The opening scene teases their potential meeting as his father appears to come upon an unconscious Atlanna played by Nicole Kidman.

We get a really good look at Mera’s suit as she tells Arthur Curry a.k.a. Aquaman about the current ongoings in Atlantis with Ocean Master Orm played by Patrick Wilson planning on starting a war against the surface world.

Maybe the highlight of this clip is the massive tidal wave that gobbles up a huge ship and sends it flying toward the coast. In fact, it almost wipes out Arthur Curry as he drives along what appears to be a bridge in a beat up pickup truck.

We also get a brief look at the King’s Trident. It’s unclear who is wielding it, but they appear to be placing it in some kind of altar. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a Sword in the Stone type deal.

There’s a bunch of epic battle scenes from the underwater scene with just enormous creatures eating each other as Atlanteans ride on them like knights charging into battle. But there’s also more personal combat scenes as Black Manta appears to be hunting down Mera as she makes her escape.

The TV spot also features some humorous moments with Momoa’s Curry quipping about Mera’s pep talk. He then gets flustered as Mera jumps right out of a plane. Before he follows he makes a comment about the red heads to the pilot.

Aquaman comes to theaters on Friday December 21, 2018. Are you excited?
