The treasured tradition of actors providing colorful, deep, insightful political commentary has been an American past time since at least the 2000 election. This week Captain America actor Chris Evans apparently lost his mind and took to Twitter with an unhinged rant against President Donald Trump all over over a typo:

This isn’t the first time the actor has gone after President Trump. Just head over to his Twitter account and you’ll see that it’s chock-full of rage-filled posts about how he hates the president. Thankfully though, there are a few good posts related to his charitable works sprinkled in between.

Early this month, he also went after Trump for his now famous comment about Senator John McCain: “He was captured…does that make you a war hero? I’m not sure, I don’t know.

It makes me wonder if Senator John McCain was a war hero to Evans when he ran for office back in 2008. I ask because Hollywood was all over the Senator, looking for the slightest flaw, even mocking his presidential ambitions through the lens of his time as a POW as seen on Family Guy:

I wonder if Evans will show his fellow Hollywood alum Seth McFarlane the same treatment, and call him out on his distasteful joke?

Chris Evans last year also went after the president saying, “I feel rage. I feel fury.” when talking to Esquire in April 2017. He went on in the interview by saying:

“It’s unbelievable. People were just so desperate to hear someone say that someone is to blame,”… “They were just so happy to hear that someone was angry. Hear someone say that Washington sucks. They just want something new without actually understanding. I mean, guys like Steve Bannon—Steve Bannon!—this man has no place in politics.”

As a Hillary supporter in 2016, it seems the Avenger’s leader still hasn’t gotten over the loss from the last presidential election.
