Pokemon Go is making it easier for trainers everywhere to achieve Lucky Pokémon.

And that’s a good thing because Lucky Pokémon are stronger than your normal Pokémon. They also require less Stardust to power up. You can identify a Lucky Pokémon by its shimmery effect in the Pokédex and the Pokémon Profile. It will also say Lucky Pokemon underneath the Pokemon’s image.

Lucky Pokemon

And now you can get these more powerful Pokémon guaranteed. In their most recent announcement Niantic revealed that “if you trade a “Pokémon that has spent time in a Trainer’s Pokémon storage since July 2016 to August 2016, it is guaranteed to become a Lucky Pokémon!”

To sweeten the deal Lucky Pokémon will be even more powerful than ever and will require even less Stardust than before.

However, there is a catch. If you or the friend you are trading with already have 10 Lucky Pokémon, the guarantee is out the window. Just to reiterate if you or your friend already have 10 Lucky Pokémon you are not guaranteed to get a Lucky Pokémon.

Have you already got any Lucky Pokemon? Are there any Lucky Pokemon you are on the hunt for? I know I would like to get my hands on a Chansey to really boost my team’s ability to defend those gyms and maximize those Pokemon Coins!

And just a reminder Moltres Day takes place this Saturday on September 8, 2018.
