Star Trek: The Next Generation Stars Reunite In New Photos!

Star Trek: Next Generation

The relationship among the cast of [easyazon_link identifier=”B01BP06ENA” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Star Trek: The Next Generation[/easyazon_link] is amazing. They’re known to hang out and have dinner. It was of no surprise when Marina Sirtis a.k.a. Commander Deanna Troi shared a photo of her and her former cast mates enjoying a meal.

In the photo, you can see most of the cast including Patrick Stewart, LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden, Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn, and of course Mariana herself.

LeVar Burton added his own photos of the reunion.

Almost the entire bridge crew was there with the noticeable exception of Jonathon Frakes a.k.a. William Riker.

Though “Number One” wasn’t with them physically, I’m sure he was with them in spirit. Now some might ask why he may have not been at the dinner, one could assume that his current work directing an episode of [easyazon_link identifier=”B07G1THTZY” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Star Trek: Discovery[/easyazon_link] in Toronto might have had something to do with his absence. Frakes is currently directing the second episode of the upcoming second season.

However, he would make sure to add himself to the photo later!

This reunion comes on the heels of the announcement last month that Captain Picard played by Patrick Stewart would be returning to reprise his role a brand new CBS All Access Star Trek series.

The announcement came as a surprise during the 2018 Star Trek Vegas event. You can catch the video below:

With the cast breaking bread together, could we see the possibility of an entire Next Generation reunion on screen?

As of right now, not enough is known to point one way or another. But for the most part, the cast hasn’t stayed away from Star Trek. They’ve appeared at numerous conventions and expos on a regular basis.

Patrick Stewart’s own untitled Picard-centric show is expected to debut sometime next year in 2019. It will most likely be a CBS All Access exclusive like Star Trek: Discovery.

What do you think? Would you like to see a bridge crew reunion?
