Joker director Todd Phillips continues to share updates on the upcoming film.

Phillips previously revealed our first look at Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck and then in his full Joker makeup. Those reveals were followed up by a number of leaks including a set video with a wild train scene and there was even the hint of a connection to the Red Hood Gang.

Phillips would then give us our first look at Zazie Beetz’s character from the film.

Phillips would follow that up with his most recent photo of a clown taking a break from shooting on set.

Here’s the current Joker synopsis:

“Joker centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.”

Joker is directed by Todd Phillips. The film currently stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Marc Maron, Robert De Niro and more.

Joker is expected to hit theaters on October 4, 2019.
