Mission Impossible Actor Alec Baldwin Calls for “Overthrow” of Government

Mission Impossible actor Alec Baldwin spoke to the New Hampshire Democratic Party and called for the “overthrow” of the government.

After reprising his role as President Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, Baldwin jetted to New Hampshire to speak at the New Hampshire Democratic Party’s annual fall fundraising dinner. While at the dinner Baldwin called for an overthrow of the government through the electoral process.

Alec Baldwin would state:

“The way we implement change in America is through elections. We change governments here at home in an orderly and formal way. In that orderly and formal way and lawful way, we need to overthrow the government of the United States under Donald Trump.”

Baldwin would continue:

“There is a small cadre of people currently in power who are hell-bent on continuing a malicious immigration policy that has set this country up for human rights violations charges by the global community. This cadre has looted money from the federal treasury and deposited it directly into the bank accounts of their most ardent political supporters. So that they and several generations of their descendants will have the resources to maintain the GOP and political power for as long as possible.”

He would add later:

“They view and treat women as human beings that are not entitled to the same Constitutional protections that men are. They themselves are sons, husbands, fathers, and yet when the time arrived in the thick of the #metoo movement to set politics aside and establish that women’s rights were more important than political expediency, they failed and it was ugly.”

Alec Baldwin was rumored to be apart of the upcoming Joker film starring Joaquin Phoenix, but that didn’t pan out. He has launched a brand new talk show, “The Alec Baldwin Show,” which airs on ABC at 10 p.m. The show is not supposed to be overtly political and will feature Baldwin having one-on-one conversations with celebrities and cultural icons.

According to the Associated Press, Baldwin was asked whether or not he would run for President. He didn’t rule it out, but did joke if he did run his wife might divorce him.

What do you make of Alec Baldwin’s comments?
