Supernatural Star Jensen Ackles Becomes the Red Hood for Halloween!

Supernatural star Jensen Ackles took Halloween to the next level when he dressed up as the iconic Batman character, Red Hood.

Take a look at the multiple photos he shared:

Ackles indicates this isn’t the first time he’s dressed up as Red Hood saying, “Bringin the #redhood back for Halloween.”

Ackles had previously posed with a different Red Hood costume back in August.

However, he also might be referring to the time when he played the Red Hood. Ackles gave voice to the character in the DC Animated film, [easyazon_link identifier=”B003ITZBVI” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Batman: Under the Red Hood[/easyazon_link].

It’s not likely that Ackles will get to play the Red Hood in a live-action capacity any time soon. Jason Todd, who eventually ends up becoming the Red Hood, will be joining DC Universe’s Titans series later this season. He will be played by Curran Walters. Walters won’t technically be playing the Red Hood as Jason Todd is expected to still be operating as Batman’s sidekick, Robin, when he appears on the show.

Warner Bros. has seemingly made it a policy not to allow characters on their television shows when they expect them to make the transition to the big screen. Arrow producer Marc Guggenheim hinted at this policy when he announced that Deathstroke would no longer be appearing on the show.

“For a time they were saying ‘you can’t use Deathstroke’, and that changed and we were able to have Slade Wilson back on the show, and now we’re back to ‘you can’t use him’. They’re working on the feature film version, it really is sort of now that you’ve got obviously Slade, spoiler alert, Deathstroke appears at the end of the Justice League movie.”

There is still hope for Ackles to become the Red Hood in a live-action performance because Walters’ version still sees Jason Todd as Robin and not Red Hood.

What do you make of Ackles’ Red Hood costume? Do you want to see him become Jason Todd in a live-action performance?
