Captain Marvel star Brie Larson got into the Halloween spirit as she dressed up as Metroid’s Samus for Halloween.

Larson first showed off the costume in her Instagram story. You can her in the blue Zero Suit with Samus’ iconic blonde hair.

Larson would go on to show off a second photo of the suit as she posed on a bed with a friend who dressed up as Harry Potter.

For those unfamiliar with Samus, the character is the hero of the long-running Metroid series created by Nintendo. Samus is a space-faring bounty hunter who tirelessly works to protect the galaxy from Space Pirates who try to harness the power of parasitic Metroid creatures. The first Metroid game released all the way back in 1986. There have been 14 Metroid games in total with the latest, Metroid: Samus Returns, debuting in 2017 on the Nintendo 3DS.

Larsen’s Zero Suit costume is inspired by Samus’ Zero Suit costume which first appeared in Metroid: Zero Mission.

The character and the suit will appear in Nintendo’s upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate video game which is expected to go on sale on December 7, 2018.

There’s also a possibility Samus might be adapted to a television series in the future. Adi Shankar, who recently produced the successful Castlevania series on Netflix, announced he would be working with an iconic Japanese gaming company to adapt one of their iconic series. Scuttlebutt indicates it will be Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda, but it’s possible Samus and Metroid could get adapted!

While Larson had some fun on Halloween as Samus, she will become Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when Captain Marvel debuts in March 2019.

Captain Marvel is expected to take place in the 1990s as she finds herself caught in the middle of a galactic war between the proud Kree and the shape shifting Skrulls.

What do you think of Brie Larson’s Samus costume? Do you think she’s hinting about a potential Samus live-action role?
