There is a ton going on in the new theatrical trailer for Arkham Knight. The first scene opens with Gordon standing alone with the Bat Signal, Batman no where in sight. We are then treated to the on-goings of the street. Two-Face and a brand new type of goon outfitted in red jackets are tearing Gotham apart. They are throwing bombs into windows and taking what once used to be roadblocks and using them as battering rams against local businesses.

There is an ominous voice over from what appears to be Hugo Strange as he prophesizes “You will bring death to all who follow you.” This leads to a montage of a number of Batman’s closest allies including Catwoman, Gordon, Oracle, Fox, Robin, and Nightwing.

Following the montage the pace of the video picks up with a ton of action sequences from a number of bad guys and heroes. Of note there is a big emphasis on a devastating blow delivered from the title villain as he goes into a monologue detailing how Batman will be consumed by the fire rising from the ashes of Gotham fulfilling the prophecy.

There are some cool gameplay elements on display as well. Batman is stalking his prey from the ledges, but instead of taking down the enemies by himself Robin aids him as the two perform a double team to eliminate the foe.

Batman: Arkham Knight hits stores June 23rd, 2015. Click here to pre-order your copy from Amazon today!
