DC Super Hero Girls ‘Super Hero High’ Premieres on Boomerang on March 19

DC Super Hero Girls Super Hero High will premiere on Boomerang on Saturday, March 19 at 10 a.m.

Super Hero High will be an action-packed hour long special featuring the DC Super Hero Girls. The school is buzzing with excitement over new student, Supergirl and with good cause. Supergirl crash lands into the cafeteria, but though she might have incredible power, she has a long way to go before she becomes a Super Hero. In order to help her on the path to become a Super Hero, Supergirl seeks out helpful I.T. girl, Barbara Gordon. Barbara introduces Supergirl to the sweet, old librarian Granny Goodness. As Supergirl begins to harness her powers with Barbara’s help, Wonder Woman joins them and becomes a mentor and friend to Supergirl.

Meanwhile, the Junior Detective Club (The Flash, Bumblebee, and Hawkgirl) investigates a mysterious rash of security breaches centered around the teleportation “Boom Tubes.” Could it all be because of reformed Super-Villain and Super Hero High Vice Principal Gorilla Grodd – or something far worse?

The Super Hero High television special stars Anais Fairweather as Supergirl, Mae Margaret Whitman as Barbara Gordon, and features an cast of DC Comics universe veterans including Greg Cipes, Tara Strong, Ashley Eckstein, John DiMaggio, Tom Kenny, Helen Slater, and Dean Cain. Jennifer Coyle is the producer and director with Sam Register as executive producer. She Fontana wrote both the television and animated shorts as well as two upcoming DC Comics graphic novel. Those animated shorts can be found on the Cartoon Network video app.

DC Super Hero Girls is world centered on the female Super Heroes of the DC Comics universe during their formative high school years and most definitely before they have discovered their full super power potential.
