Star Wars: The Force Awakens swept the planet on the big screen this past winter and now the story is coming to the comic page in June!
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Adaptation #1 will be the first in a five issue limited series. Chuck Wendig (Star Wars: Aftermath) and Luke Ross (Hercules) will tell the story from a galaxy far, far away.
Thirty years have passed since the Rebel Alliance defeated the Galactic Empire. No, on the remote planet of Jakku, there’s been an awakening in the force. The young scavenger, Rey, the deserting Stormtrooper, Finn, the ace pilot, Poe, and the dark apprentice, Kylo Ren, will clash as war comes to the galaxy once again.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Adaptation #1 will feature covers from Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada (APR161047), John Cassady (APR161045), Phil Noto (APR161042), and Esad Ribic (APR161041)! There will also be a movie variant (APR161049) as well as sketch variants for Quesada (APR161048), Ribic (APR161043), and Cassady’s (APR161045) covers.
The issue hits comic books shelves on June 22nd. The final order cutoff is May 30th.
