Brian K. Vaughan and Steve Skroce’s We Stand On Guard series from Image Comics is finally getting a trade paperback this April.

[easyazon_link identifier=”1534301410″ locale=”US” tag=”bounintocomi-20″]We Stand On Guard[/easyazon_link] was one of the best series to hit comic book stands last year. It takes place 100 years in the future and tells the story of a group of Canadian civilians-turned-freedom-fighters. With their homeland invaded by a technologically superior United States of America, the group bands together to defend their homeland at all cost.

The series does an excellent job of examining geopolitical current events and rampant militarism especially in the United States. The series might be even more relevant today given the recent WikiLeaks Vault 7 releases that blew the lid on all the dirty deeds the CIA is able to perpetrate with the ability to remotely take over modern automobiles to perform vehicular assassinations.

This isn’t the first time the series has been collected. Last May, Image offered a Deluxe Hardcover edition of the series.

This new trade paperback edition hits shelves on April 5th. [easyazon_link identifier=”1534301410″ locale=”US” tag=”bounintocomi-20″]Pre-order it today[/easyazon_link]!
