New Wonder Woman Trailer Showcases Diana’s Origin!

Warner Bros. just dropped a brand new trailer for Wonder Woman and it showcases a bit of Wonder Woman’s origin and her training on the island of Themyscira.

However, it leaves quite a mystery as to her real origin. There is an ominous voice over from Hippolyta, “But she must never know the truth about what she is.”

From there, Diana encounters Steve Trevor and embarks on her journey into the world of man. We get a montage of action scenes showcasing all of Wonder Woman’s abilities, except that invisible jet is missing. The smiths on Themyscira must not have designed it yet!

And to all the haters who keep saying the DC movies don’t have any humor, the final scene will give you a good laugh. Diana walks around early 20th century London with her sword and shield and tries to go through a revolving door. There is even some dry humor with Diana’s initial reaction to London.

Take a look:

Here’s the official synopsis:

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot as the titular character and Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. It also stars Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright. It’s directed by Patty Jenkins. It hits movie theaters on June 2, 2017.
