Kevin Smith Can’t Hold Back The Tears Watching Ravagers Funeral Scene In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

Kevin Smith might be the ultimate comic book fan! He named his daughter Harley after the DC Comics villain Harley Quinn. He’s also directed a number of episodes from The CW’s Flash and Supergirl. He’s also the host and the executive producer of “Comic Book Men.”

Following the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Kevin Smith took to Facebook Live to express his love for the film and express how much he absolutely adores the Ravagers funeral scene.

“I’m a big fan of this movie. I love this f***ing movie. God I love this movie. It is so imaginative. First one was crazy imaginative as well. This picks up right where the other one left off.  Pure imagination. James Gunn is just f***ing wonderful.”

Smith then talks about his favorite scene in the movie.

“What happens next in the movie is hands down one of my favorite moments in cinematic history and it only happened a couple months ago … This tiny f***ing moment in cinematic history is so huge, so indelible that I will never forget it.”

He then talks about how he balled when he watched the movie three times in the theaters.

Finally he gets to the scene and he just can’t hold back the tears. They just come flooding down.

Be warned there is strong language.

Just before he got to the scene, Smith also pitched for Michael Rooker to win an Academy Award for his role as Yondu.

Rooker deserves an Academy Award nomination for this movie, if he don’t get it there is no justice. I’m f***ing writing him in on my s***. I suggest everyone do the same. And if there is any justice he will get a nod. And if there is really true justice he will f***ing hold the trophy. Can you imagine Michael Rooker winning an Academy Award for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? That would make me so happy!

We couldn’t agree more. Rooker’s role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was absolutely fantastic!
