Supernatural Season 13 Details Reveal Possible Spoilers!

More news from Supernatural’s thirteenth season has come out today.

Fans were already excited about the upcoming Scooby Doo crossover episode, but now an official episode list has been released. The episode list, which was revealed by SpolierTV, show some interesting information that could hint at some big spoilers for the upcoming season.

Scooby Doo & Supernatural

Check out the list of the first nine episodes for yourself below:

  • 1: “Lost and Found”
  • 2: “The Rising Sun”
  • 3: “Patience”
  • 4: “The Big Empty”
  • 5: “Advanced Thanatology”
  • 6: “Tombstone”
  • 7: “War of the Worlds”
  • 8: “The Scorpion and the Frog”
  • 9: “The Bad Place”

Looking at the list a few episodes stand out to me. Episode three, four, and seven, all seem to be connected in different ways. The third episode will introduce Sam and Dean’s Granddaughter. The title as you see is “Patience.” This episode as reported is expected to be the launch for “Wayward Sisters”, the second attempt at a spin off for the series. If it works or not it will be a fun stab at expanding the Supernatural universe a bit.

Episode four brings with it the title “The Big Empty.” Not only is it one of the best songs of the 90s by Stone Temple Pilots, but it’s also an idea from Season 11. It says that there is an area outside Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory. Here death is permanent, no soul is coming back. I’m looking forward to seeing how they plan to explore this concept. In using this concept I’m also worried that it might get them stuck in their writing later in the future. After Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory, you start to run out of areas, and explanations. It could become a self-made enclosure of lore they can get trapped in.

Supernatural HP Lovecraft

Finally,“War of the Worlds” is another episode title of interest. It shows up as the seventh episode of the upcoming season. I would love for them to explore some H.G. Wells connection to the supernatural like they did with H.P. Lovecraft in “Let it Bleed” from Season 6. In this episode, the brothers get a hold of a copy of Lovecraft’s journal. They suspected Lovecraft’s fascination with doors and extra dimensions meant he knew something about Purgatory, and how to open the doorway into it.

As for the much anticipated Scooby Doo crossover. I cannot tell if the title has been listed. Nothing really stands out that might hint towards it. What is known is we can expect to see that episode sometime in 2018. That would explain why don’t see it here since this list is for the first half of Season 13.

What do you think of this list? Does this list hype you up for Season 13?
