Comic Book Superheroes Honor Real Life Superheroes On 9-11!

A number of comic book actors as wella s artists and writers took time out of their day today to remember one of them most tragic moments in the history of the United States of America.

Alex Ross captured the heart and spirit of America in two paintings. The first shows the legendary Superman looking upon the first responders and American citizens who worked together to help save lives following the deadly terrorist attack.

The second painting shows a New York firefighter carrying a victim of the heinous terrorist attack from the wreckage. The body language of the firefighter shows the courage and resolve, but also the sadness and remorse we all felt on that day.

Joining Alex Ross is honoring this day was DC Entertainment president Geoff Johns whose message might be simple, buts it’s powerful using an American Flag and Heart emoji side by side.

Like Alex Ross, Hugh Jackman honored the first responders in New York in his remembrance of 9/11.

The Punisher’s Jon Bernthal retweeted his his post from last year that asks us to “Remember those who were lost, those who went to help, and those who fight to keep us safe.”

Gotham’s Camren Bicondova pulled double duty, not only thinking about those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, but also those who help to keep us safe. Camren had a request for everyone in the U.S. not affected by the hurricanes to thank military veterans, active duty military, firefighters, and police officers for their service. She added, September 11th, 2011 forever changed our country, and they were there to protect us.”

Legends of Tomorrow star Caity Lotz also remembered 9/11.
