Mark Hamill, the actor who brought to life one of the most famous characters in all of film history and helped launch a cultural phenomenon as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, turns 66 today.

However, Hamill isn’t just known for his role as Skywalker. No, the actor is well-known in comic book circles for his magnificent voice acting especially his long-standing role as DC Comics’ Joker which began in Batman: The Animated Series all the way back in 1992.

Since then Hamill has voiced the Joker in a number of other DC television shows as well as video games. Hamill took on the role of the Joker in the popular Arkham video game series including Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight. He most recently portrayed the Joker in the animated movie adaptation Batman: The Killing Joke.

You might have also seen Mark appear as The Flash villain, The Trickster, in both the 1990 Flash TV show and CW’s Arrowverse.

With all of his accolades and accomplishments Hamill got a ton of well wishes for his birthday. He even got one from Darth Vader!

This one might be my favorite. She dubbed Hamill’s Joker voice over herself to wish him a happy birthday!

But while everyone else was wishing him a Happy Birthday, Mark Hamill wished a fan a Happy Birthday with an emoji cake!

He also wished himself a Happy Birthday!
