20th Century Fox dropped their first trailer for Maze Runner: The Death Cure on Sunday night. The Death Cure will be the final film in their action-adventure trilogy based on the popular book series by American author James Dashner.

Thomas will be faced with a decision. He can save his friends. Or he can save everyone.

The Death Cure will see the return of Dylan O’Brien as Thomas as he leads his group of escapees into their most dangerous mission yet.

Thomas will lead them into the Last City, the deadliest maze of all controlled by WCKD. If anyone makes it out of this maze alive they will get the answers to the questions they’ve been asking since the first movie, The Maze Runner. And if you don’t think this maze is dangerous, production on the movie actually halted after O’Brien was seriously injured in an accident on set last year. It delayed the release of the movie almost a year.

The movie, directed by Wes Ball, is expected to hit theaters on January 26, 2018.

The first Maze Runner movie grossed $348.3 million worldwide on a $34 million budget. It’s sequel, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials did about the same bringing in $312.3 million worldwide on a $61 million budget.
