Spider-Man: Homecoming Actors Support Transgender Spider-Man

Spider-Man: Homecoming actors Jacob Batalon and Laura Harrier did a Q&A on Tumblr called #answertime when they were asked, “What are your thoughts on trans boy Peter Parker.”

Both Batalon, who plays Peter Parker’s best friend Ned, and Laura Harrier, who plays Peter Parker’s love interest, Liz, both emphatically answered together, “YAAAAAAAAAAAAASS.”

Spider-Man isn’t the only character where gender and sexuality issues have arisen. A petition was created to have Warner Bros. make Wonder Woman bisexual following her motion picture debut earlier this year.

The two were asked other questions such as “Will the cast ever visit Chicago?” Laura Harrier replied, “Yes, thats (sic) my hometown!!!!”

Another question was directed at Batalon that asked, “Did you accidentally break anything on set?” He replied, “I BROKE EVERYTHING.”

Louisselamb12 asked, “Do you sleep with socks on?” Laura was grossed out replying, “ew no kill me now.”

Interestingly enough when they were asked whether or not they would buy Spider-Man: Homecoming to treasure it forever the reply was a simple, “no.”

Spider-Man: Homecoming arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on October 17th. It is currently available on Digital HD now. Spider-Man: Homecoming made $332 million domestically and $542.4 million in foreign markets for a worldwide total of $874.4 million. The movie currently sits at #4 for both 2017 worldwide gross and 2017 domestic gross.
