Everything we know about Supreme Leader Snoke has been a mystery until now.  Thanks to a Star Wars: The Last Jedi tie-in book reportedly called Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need To Know  the extent of Snoke’s force abilities will be revealed. The book is not everything we need to know though. It does not reveal Snoke’s identity. In fact, The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson made it clear the identity of Snoke would not be revealed util Episode IX. That’s going to be a long way away and only means that fans will continue to dissect every scene to theorize about his nature.

Reddit user chem072117 uploaded a bunch of photos from the book and one included Snoke’s abilities. It lists a number of fantastic force powers Snoke possesses.

Snoke’s powers include telepathy as well as force chokes and throws.

Snoke powers

Telepathy is a common ability employed by both Sith Lords and Jedi. In the original trilogy, we saw telepathy used during Luke’s fight with Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi. Vader is able to read Luke’s mind and discover he has a twin sister. We saw telepathy powers deployed in this new trilogy as well. Kylo Ren used it to extract information in interrogations and used the ability on Rey.

Force throws is also a common Sith and Jedi ability. Yoda and the Emperor both used this force technique when they dueled each other in Revenge of the Sith.

Finally, he has the ability to use the famous Force Choke. Something that Darth Vader made famous in A New Hope. I for one have had meetings in which I could have used that power.

Which of the three powers would you want to have? Take the poll!

With seventy days before Star Wars: The Last Jedi you can bet the curiosity surrounding Snoke will only grow. Do you have any theories about Snoke’s true identity? Let us know in the comments below, and explain why you believe what you do!
