Star Wars: The Last Jedi Unleashes New International Trailer

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Lucasfilm and Disney released a brand new Chinese trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi film.

The trailer starts off with clips from The Force Awakens for the first thirty seconds then it switches to footage we’ve seen from previous The Last Jedi trailers. We get to see Rey and Luke truly meet as she hands him his old lightsaber.

One of the biggest differences is a voice over from Daisy Ridley’s Rey. She says, “Something inside me has always been there. But now it’s awake and I need help.”

We then get clips of Luke fearing the supposed raw strength of Rey. It quickly switches to Kylo Ren who wants to destroy the past as he launches an attack in his slick new Tie-Fighter.

The biggest change I saw was new clips from Canto Bight where a number of wild animals come storming into the casino. Then we get new shots of the salt planet Crait as the First Order launch a devastating attack on the Resistance.

What differences did you catch that we didn’t? Are you even more excited with the new footage from Crait and Canto Bight? The quick scene from Crait looks all too reminiscent of Hoth from Empire Strikes Back. Hopefully it’s a fake out and doesn’t really so heavily on nostalgia like The Force Awakens.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes to theaters on December 15, 2017. The film is directed and written by Rian Johnson. It stars Daisy Ridley as Rey, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, John Boyega as Finn, Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, Domhnall Gleason as General Hux, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phsma, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, Laura Dern as Amilyn Holdo, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, and Carrie Fisher as Leia.
