A few days ago Perfect Pitch 3 star Hailee Steinfeld threw in her name for consideration to play a Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl. Following her lead, Mad Max: Fury Road‘s Riley Keough made her pitch to play DC Comics villain Poison Ivy. She took to Twitter to express her desire to play the Batman villain.

The last time we saw Poison Ivy on the big screen was in the much-panned Batman & Robin. Uma Turman played Poison Ivy in that role.

More recently Poison Ivy has been seen on Gotham, where three different actresses have taken on the role of the notorious Batman villain. The character is currently being played by Peyton List.

DC Films and Warner Bros. have already indicated there could be a role for Poison Ivy in the upcoming Gotham City Sirens film by Suicide Squad director David Ayer. If the film follows the comic book, it will showcase Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn. However, the film was not on Warner Bros. upcoming slate of films announced at the Brazil Comic Con Experience. In fact, Gotham City Sirens might be competing with a Joker and Harley Quinn film or a solo Harley Quinn film. One thing is for sure DC Films wants to capitalize on Margot Robbie’s performance as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad.

It’s possible Poison Ivy could show up in the upcoming Deathstroke film or in Matt Reeves’ planned The Batman film if Gotham City Sirens stalls out.

Though a single Tweet doesn’t normally mean a lot. Twitter looks to be a good spot for actors to test the waters on a possible role choice. Even if an offer hasn’t been extended. So what do you think? Could Riley Keough cut it as Poison Ivy on the big screen? Or do you have someone else in mind? Tell us in the comments below!
