Daredevil had a lot going for it when it premiered on Netflix in 2015. But maybe the best part might have been Vincent D’Onofrio’s portrayal of Wilson Fisk aka the Kingpin. D’Onofrio’s captivating and chilling take on the legendary Kingpin was one of the cornerstones of the entire first season. His OCD like obsession with order and his desire for love hit so many notes for me as a viewer.

However, while D’Onofrio’s portrayal was captivating, what was missing was Kingpin’s traditional white suit as seen in the comics. In Daredevil Season 3, we might finally get to see Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin don the classic white suit. Concept art for the upcoming Season 3 was released by James Holland on Art Station that truly reflects the comics. In his art, we see Fisk in his full white suit and rose as well as her purple shirt and white suit jacket.

Giving this a hard look I could really see Vincent D’Onofrio walking around New York City like this.

And just so you can see how close to the comics here’s a couple examples of Fisk’s iconic look:

D’Onofrio’s Fisk donning the iconic white suit could also further indicate Daredevil Season 3 will adapt the Born Again comic book series. In the series, D’Onofrio discovers Daredevil’s true identity as Matt Murdock and puts all of his power into single-handedly destroying the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. He destroys his house, isolates him from his friends, and even breaks him physically. Daredevil and Matt Murdock must overcome all of these obstacles to be Born Again to take on the Kingpin.

With the growing popularity of both Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk and Daredevil, I wouldn’t be surprised to see more of him and maybe the white suit in the next season. But don’t be shocked if this look is something they dangle at us until the final episode of the season.

Do you think Vincent D’Onofrio should wear the iconic Kingpin suit with the rose?
