Marvel Studios Releases 50 Days Avengers: Infinity War Teaser

Infinity War Poster

Marvel recently announced they moved up the release date to Avengers: Infinity War to April  27th in a cute back and forth with Robert Downey Jr. With the moved up release date, fans could hardly contain their excitement.

To tide them over, Marvel Studios recently dropped a 50 days teaser on their official Twitter account.

Unfortunately, there isn’t any new footage. We do get a close up of Black Widow’s new hairdo and Bruce Banner looking thoughtful. There’s also a shot of Black Panther and the soldiers of Wakanda preparing for battle against the forces of Thanos.

But just knowing there’s only 50 days left until Avengers: Infinity War has me super hyped. This is to be the culmination of over 10 years of movie making that first began with Iron Man. The threat of Thanos has been steadily building since we first saw his devilish grin in the post-credit scenes of The Avengers and his ominous presence has been slowly building in Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and Thor: Ragnarok.

And Marvel Studios hopes to deliver on Thanos Kevin Feige promised, “Within the first five minutes of Infinity War people will understand why Thanos is the biggest and baddest villain in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

Chris Hemsworth, who will reprise his role as Thor, elaborated on the threat the Avengers will face in Thanos, “I think what these characters are about to face — with Thanos — there’s been nothing quite like it.”

There is plenty of source material from the comics confirming Thanos is a villain on a whole other level than what we’ve seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’s the Avatar of Death. A worshiper of death who will do anything to please his mistress, even if its brutally torturing his own mother or killing his own father. He’s even wiped out half of the Marvel Universe with just the snap of his fingers. Loki and Ultron don’t have anything on Thanos. And he’s coming for the Infinity Stones and Earth.

Avengers: Infinity War comes to theaters on April 27, 2018.
