Punisher Season 2 Begins Filming As New Photos Surface

Jon Bernthal and the team behind Netflix’s The Punisher are back in action.
Facebook user and Punisher fan Scott Schmeizer captured a number of photos of Jon Bernthal near the set in Bellmore, NY.
As you can see, Bernthal appears to actually be on set or just left the set as you can still the blood on his lip. It looks like he will be taking some punishment as he doles it for Season 2.
Marvel and Netflix recently announced three new cast members for Season 2. They include Floriana Lima, Josh Stewart, and Georgia Whigham.
Floriana Lima is no stranger to superhero projects. She recently played Maggie Sawyer in Supergirl. She will play Krista Dumont in The Punisher who is described as “a smart, compassionate, and driven psychotherapist for military veterans.”
Josh Stewart has been cast as John Pilgrim who is “a man whose calm exterior belies a ruthless interior. Despite having left behind a life of violence, circumstances will force him to use his old skills and bring him into Frank’s world.”
Finally, Georgia Whigham will be Amy Bendix who is a mysterious, young, street-smart grifter.
Jeph Loeb, the head of Marvel Television, was excited about all three of the castings, “Josh, Floriana and Giorgia are all remarkable talents and we can’t wait for the audience to see what we have in store for them in the second season of Marvel’s The Punisher.”
While Marvel and Netflix have not released any actual details about the story for Season 2, the most believable rumors see Loeb and showrunner Steve Lightfoot adapt Garth Ennis and Leandro Fernandez’s 2005 story arc “The Slavers” in the adult only Punisher MAX series. Frank Castle takes on an underground slavery ring.
Marvel’s The Punisher Season 2 does not have a set release date yet, but is expected to come out in 2019.
