New Solo: A Star Wars Story Trailer Drops!

Solo: A Star Wars Story

The second Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer has just arrived.

The trailer begins with Emilia Clarke’s Qi’Ra asking what Han Solo is after. She asks, “Is it revenge? Money? Or is it something else?”

We get a glimpse of Donald Glover’s Lando Calrissian at a gambling table as Aldren Ehrenreich’s Han Solo walks on. My first impression is this is where Solo wins the Millennium Falcon off of Lando.

The trailer once again promises some pretty cool chase scenes both in a land speeder and through the air. We even get to see the land speeder do a little 360 degree turn trick. This might be the biggest draw to the entire film for me. I want to see some freaking awesome Star Wars chase scenes. We haven’t really seen any since The Phantom Menace and the Pod Races.

One of the more interesting scenes is when Glover’s Lando is sitting in the pilot seat of the Millennium Falcon with L3-37 as the co-pilot. He tells Han, “You might want to buckle up, baby.” Solo looks visibly uncomfortable and he doesn’t really have the swagger and confidence we saw from Harrison Ford’s Han Solo.

What will probably be the most iconic line from the trailer is Woody Harrelson’s Tobias Beckett. He says, “Let me give you some advice. Assume every one will betray you and you will never be disappointed.” Based on Kylo Ren’s quote about the past basically being the entire gist of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, I’m going to assume this line by Harrelson will be the gist of Solo. I know I’ll be waiting for both Beckett and Qi’Ra to double cross Han.

Just seconds after Harrelson delivers his line, we get Han Solo offering up one of his own, “I’ve got a good feeling about this.” If you thought they were trying to get away from Ford’s Solo this line might just be the evidence you need.

The trailer does highlight a number of action scenes. There will definitely be a space chase with the Empire hunting down the Falcon. But there also appears to be a pretty interesting train heist, and even some ground battles.

It might not be all out war, but the war between the Rebels and the Empire definitely looks to be a major factor in the film.

What’s your favorite part of the trailer? Did this trailer convince you to check it out?

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25, 2018.
