The Avengers director Joss Whedon doubled down on his attacks against President Donald Trump. However, he would also note that he got a slap on the wrist from Twitter after calling for the President’s death.

Whedon would write, “Well I was put in twitter suspension but luckily there was also a jock, a weird girl, a socialite, and a rebel and it turns out we’re all the same or something (?) anyway they all hooked up and I had to write this tweet so I’m not sure, trump still killing the country tho lol.”

It’s unclear who Whedon is referring to when he mentions the jock, weird girl, socialite and rebel. It’s possible it could be a Breakfast Club reference.

Whedon had originally called for President Donald Trump’s death earlier last week tweeting, “Donald trump is killing this country. Some of it quickly, some slowly, but he spoils and destroys everything he touches. He emboldens monsters, wielding guns, governmental power, or just smug doublespeak. Or Russia. My hate and sadness are exhausting. Die, Don. Just quietly die.”

The reactions to Whedon’s latest Tweet were mixed to say the least.

Many remained critical of Whedon and while they praised his directing talent they were saddened, disappointed, and even angered by his nastiness towards President Donald Trump.

There were also many that supported Whedon.

It appears the Twitter suspension did little if anything to change Whedon’s views at all. In fact, I’m actually surprised he was even suspended. Regardless, his initial Tweet is still disgusting. However, it does appear he has toned down the rhetoric significantly.
