New Set Photos From Captain Marvel Show Off Young Nick Fury!

Captain Marvel

More new set photos from Marvel Studios’ upcoming Captain Marvel film have leaked online. This new batch showcases a much younger version of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury.

As you can see in the photos below, he’s got some hair on the top of his head and there is no eye patch. He obviously hasn’t lost his eye yet! And there’s a good reason for that. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige revealed last year that Captain Marvel would take place in the 1990s. This will be the second Marvel Studios film that takes place in the past, the first being Captain America: The First Avenger which takes place during World War II.

The photos appear to show Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel and Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury discussing something when they appear to come under attack. One photo shows Larson’s Captain Marvel shoving Nick Fury against the wall and out of danger from an unknown threat. It looks like the two are getting ambushed.

Along with the photos showcasing Jackson’s Nick Fury a video also leaked which depicts some kind of action scene taking place on the top of a train. If you look closely in the background, you can see they’ve constructed a giant blue screen, so this scene will more than likely have some special effects added to it.

Additional photos show off the set and the user who took them indicates she’s potentially fighting someone on the top of the train. Given that she’s already in her Captain Marvel suit, she’s more than likely fighting a Skrull since they are supposed to be the primary antagonists in the film.

Captain Marvel is expected to play a big role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) moving forward. The character was teased in the post-credit scenes for Avengers: Infinity War. In the comics, Carol Danvers predecessor was one of the primary nemesis to Thanos. It’s possible she might take up that role in the MCU.

Captain Marvel is set to release in the United States on March 8, 2019.
