Halloween Producer Teases Release Date for First Trailer!

Since news of Halloween’s return to theaters, fans like myself have been left in anticipation of what we might see. And producer Jason Blum just hinted we might see the first trailer in June.
After Rob Zombie’s take on the franchise, many were shocked at Jamie Lee Curtis’ return to the franchise. Curtis starred as Laurie Strode in the first Halloween film directed by John Carpenter back in 1978. Last month the actress opened up to Yahoo Entertainment about the film and teased fans on what we can expect. She also assured fans that this was a serious take on the franchise.
“I’ve seen a trailer and I’ve seen some footage, and it’s terrifying. They went full-tilt boogeyman. And I’ve never said that in my life, and I will say full-tilt boogeyman for the rest of the year as I go around talking about this.”
Curtis added:
“And as soon as I read what David Green and Danny McBride had come up with … and the way that they connected the dots of the story, it made so much sense to me that it felt totally appropriate for me to return to Haddonfield, Ill., for another 40th-anniversary retelling. There was the idea of, ‘What do you call it?’ If I had had my druthers, I probably would’ve called it Halloween Retold. Because it’s being retold. It’s the original story in many, many, many ways. Just retold 40 years later with my granddaughter.”
Now producer Jason Blum revealed June will be a a “happy time” for Halloween fans at what I can only surmise is the hint of a trailer for the upcoming horror flick.

Even though this isn’t solid confirmation. It’s at least a step in that direction. The film is expected to release on October 18, 2018 so it’s not hard to imagine a trailer coming out soon.
Plenty of other marketing materials, such as an official poster via Jamie Lee Curtis’ Twitter account, have already made their way to us.

A trailer in my mind isn’t out of the question for next month.
Halloween is an interesting reboot even though it will be the 11th film in the franchise. This year’s movie is set 40 years after the events of the first film while disregarding the previous movies. A fresh start or soft reboot as the case maybe.
Halloween is directed by David Gordon Green and written by Danny Mcbride & David Gordon Green. Halloween is set to slash it’s way to theaters October 18th, 2018.
