The Associated Press just announced that court documents reveal that police are investigating possible elder abuse of Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee.

The news comes after the arrest of Stan Lee’s manager Keya Morgan. He was arrested on suspicion of filing a false police report. Reports indicate Morgan may have lied to police about an incident involving two alleged gunmen who showed up at Stan Lee’s home demanding money.

TMZ reveals the investigation into elder abuse comes after Stan Lee was granted a restraining order against Keya Morgan.

Morgan spoke to TMZ to give his side of the story:

“I have taken great care of Stan Lee for the past many years, and have never had a problem directly with Stan. I have a fantastic relationship with him for the past many years as he has stated countless times on the record and I literally saved his life once.”

He added:

“This is a witchhunt by his daughter and her lawyer against me because she cannot stand the fact Stan likes me so much. I will 100% prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the allegations against me are false. And I will definitely take legal action against anyone who is making up these lies. The truth will come out.”

Interestingly enough, TMZ reports the documents were filed by Stan Lee’s former attorney Tom Lallas, who claims that Morgan moved Stan out of his home and into an apartment and has prevented access to his friends and family members.

The documents also allegedly reveal details about the incident involving the gunmen. It says Morgan was kept out of the home by security guards during a welfare check on Stan Lee performed by police and adult protective services. Morgan allegedly called police and reported there were three burglary suspects inside with Stan Lee. Those three suspects appear to have been detectives.

The restraining order has been granted and Morgan must stay 100 yards away from Stan Lee.

A hearing has been scheduled for July 6.
