Stan Lee’s business manager Keya Morgan was arrested on Monday on suspicion of filing a false police report.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morgan was arrested around 1 p.m. on Monday June 11. His bail was set at $20,000 and he is due back in court on July 2.

The police didn’t reveal any further details about the arrest, but The Hollywood Reporter believes the arrest could have something to do with the report that Stan Lee was confronted at his home by two armed gunmen who were demanding money from the legendary comic book creator. Stan Lee famously co-created many of Marvel’s comic book heroes including Spider-Man, Black Panther, the Hulk, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, the X-Men, Thor, and more.

Stan Lee has had a number of troubles lately. He recently filed a massive lawsuit against his former entertainment company POW! for $1 billion.

The Hollywood Reporter also indicates Lee is caught in the middle of a struggle for his financial resources with his estate estimated to be worth between $50 million and $70 million. The report indicated that Morgan was one of those fighting for control of Lee’s resources.

However, Lee posted a video earlier this month confirming that he only has one business partner and representative and that is Keya Morgan. He even describes their relationship as “conquering the world side by side.”

Lee also suffered a bout of pneumonia over the winter. And there has been turmoil with his nursing agency where he fired both a nurse and body guard. A hotel masseuse has also accused the comic legend of sexual misconduct and a number of nurses also accused Lee of assault.
