Lindsay Lohan set her sights on the #MeToo accusers in a recent interview with The Times. The actress who has been lobbying to become Batgirl in the DC Extended Universe called out many of the #MeToo accusers as “attention-seekers.”

When she was asked about if she had any negative MeToo worthy experiences Lohan responded:

“So, I don’t really have anything to say. I can’t speak on something I didn’t live, right? Look, I am very supportive of women. Everyone goes through their own experiences in their own ways.”

The actress, who is best known for movies such as [easyazon_link identifier=”B006JV6F1C” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]The Parent Trap[/easyazon_link] and Freaky Friday, then gave some advice to women who encounter sexual assault or harassment. She specifically blasted those who have waited a long period of time before coming out and accusing someone of sexual misconduct.

“If it happens at that moment, you discuss it at that moment. You make it a real thing by making it a police report. I’m going to really hate myself for saying this, but I think by women speaking against all these things, it makes them look weak when they are very strong women. You have these girls who come out, who don’t even know who they are, who do it for the attention. That is taking away from the fact that it happened.”

She then added:

“I had a fight with my ex on this very beach. What did I do? Nothing. I just took over the beach. The best revenge is success, right?”

Lohan previously discussed she had bought the beach out of revenge, “I was on this beach when I turned 30. I was leaving an ex. I said to him, like, point blank, ‘You watch. I will own this beach one day.’ It was a kind of termination. Now, two years later, it’s Lohan.”

This isn’t the first time Lohan has inserted herself into the #MeToo movement. She previously spoke out against those accusing Harvey Weinstein. In a now deleted Instagram post, Lohan defended Weinstein stating, “I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now, I don’t think it’s right what’s going on. I think Georgina needs to take a stand and be there for her husband.” She continued, “And he’s never harmed me or did anything to me. We’ve done several movies together and so I think everyone needs to stop. I think it’s wrong. So stand up.”

Lohan definitely appears to see the damage that remaining silent over the years has caused. We’ve recently seen allegations from years past potentially ruin a career. Nerdist founder Chris Hardwick was recently accused by his ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra of sexual assault. While Dykstra never names Hardwick, his identity is heavily implied. After the allegations surfaced, Hardwick was suspended from his AMC show Talking Dead and he was removed from a number of Walking Dead panels at San Diego Comic-Con. He also lost a comedy gig. AMC would eventually do their own internal investigation and found no wrong-doing and reinstated Hardwick.

What do you think? Does Lindsay Lohan have a point? Or is it more than just black and white? Could there be an area of grey in how you handle these matters?
