Vertigo Comics Creator Ramon Villalobos Targets Brett Kavanaugh – Insinuates He’s a Rapist!

Vertigo Comics artist Ramon Villalobos, who is currently providing art on Border Town, waded into politics this week by declaring that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaguh is “likely a rapist.”

But his most recent Tweet, actually ties his personal attacks against Kavanaugh to the comic book industry as he specifically used #NationalComicBookDay.

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is facing accusations of sexual misconduct from three women. The first woman, Christine Blasey Ford, accuses Kavanaugh of putting his hand over her mouth and groping her. Ford told The Washington Post, “He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing.
There have been major problems with Ford’s accusations as she has not been able to produce the location where the alleged assault took place. She also can’t remember the year, day, or month when it took place. Ford also revealed that she didn’t even tell anyone about the incident at the time. Ford believes her therapist’s notes confirm the attack, but those notes make no mention of Kavanaugh. But maybe one of the biggest points of rebuttal is that Ford has a record of lying. She told The Washington Post that she was upset Trump won in 2016 because Kavanaugh could be a potential Supreme Court pick. However, Kavanaugh wasn’t even on Trump’s list until November 2017.
The second accusation comes from Deborah Ramirez, who told the New Yorker, that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a dorm-room party at Yale University during the 1983-87 school year. Ramirez told the New Yorker, “I remember a penis being in front of my face. I knew that’s not what I wanted, even in that state of mind.” Ramirez would go on to detail that she remembers hearing another student shout, “Brett Kavanaugh just put his penis in Debbie’s face.”
Kavanaugh has denied both of these allegations. In response to Ford’s allegations he wrote:
“This is a completely false allegation. I have never done anything like what the accuser describes — to her or to anyone. Because this never happened, I had no idea who was making this accusation until she identified herself yesterday. I am willing to talk to the Senate Judiciary Committee in any way the Committee deems appropriate to refute this false allegation, from 36 years ago, and defend my integrity.”
Kavanaugh also responded to Ramirez’s accusations:
“This alleged event from 35 years ago did not happen. The people who knew me then know that this did not happen, and have said so. This is a smear, plain and simple. I look forward to testifying on Thursday about the truth, and defending my good name — and the reputation for character and integrity I have spent a lifetime building — against these last-minute allegations.”
A third accuser came forward today, Julie Swetnick, who is represented by Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti. Swetnick claims Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judger were present at a party, where Swetnick claims her drink was spiked and she was gang raped. Swetnick also claims that Kavanaugh engaged “in abusive and physically aggressive behavior toward girls, including pressing girls against him without their consent, “grinding” against girls, and attempting to remove or shift girls’ clothing to expose private body parts.” A number of people are already finding huge holes in her story, and are questioning the timing of the accusation.
Kavanaugh also denied these allegations stating, “This is ridiculous and from the Twilight Zone. I don’t know who this is and this never happened.”
None of the three allegations against Kavanaugh actually involve him committing rape.
This isn’t the first time Villalobos has made these types of comments, he’s previously noted he wants to put white people in FEMA camps.
Ramon Villalobos’ antics are one of the main reasons why mainstream comics are losing their core audience. Their creators relentlessly push their politics and are even going so far as to defame a man who has not been found guilty of anything. He also went out of his way to tie his defamation of Kavanaugh to comic books. There’s a big difference between discussing and debating politics in a civilized manner and outright insinuating a Supreme Court nominee is a rapist.
